Past financial support for Dr. Jolls’ visualization research has come from the National Science Foundation, the University of California at Berkeley, the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation, The CACHE Corporation, Union Carbide Corporation, and Iowa State University.

Recent support has been provided by the General Electric Foundation under a grant entitled "Improving Instruction in Thermodynamics and Related Courses through scientific Visualization."

Dr. Coy held a Fellowship from the Amoco Foundation during his graduate years at Iowa State.
